"Eat well, travel often and dress to inspire!" Words to live by, we knew we found a kindred spirit when we discovered Fe Noel's mantra and her namesake womenswear line. Self described as "a conceptual lifestyle brand created for the multifaceted woman," Fe Noel's Brooklyn based collection "is deeply inspired by her Grenadian heritage and has mastered the ability to bottle up culture and glamour infused with sensibility and sensuality."
We're most obsessed with Fe's use of bright, bold color and prints in everything she designs. Our favorite piece from her Resort 2020 collection Daughter of the Soil is this pearlescent asymmetrical cutout dress set against a bright turquoise backdrop - our StyleBoard inspiration image! From a see-through lime green ruched puff-sleeve dress to a large-scale floral (one of our favorite things ever) one-shoulder maxi dress, we can't get enough of Fe's designs.
In addition to designing some of our favorite looks we've seen all year, we love that Fe is passionate about helping young women start their own businesses, which led to her creating The Fe Noel Foundation with the motto "Dream in Color." In 2018 she told I am Grenadian that she tells young women looking to get into fashion to "start where you are with what you have. Don’t be afraid to fail, the faster you fail, the sooner you can determine what works and doesn’t work for you." Once again, words to live by.
